Best Body Bootcamp Week 6 Update

by Glenneth on September 2, 2012

Good morning! Are you enjoying your Labor Day Weekend? Yesterday I took my second spin class and did some shopping at the mall. Bare Escentuals, Bath & Body, and Sephora. Three of my favorite places. Great trip to Bath & Body. They were having their buy 3, get 3 free sale. Plus I had a coupon for 20% off my entire order. WOOHOO!!!

I also went to Trader Joe’s for the first time ever. Check out what I bought:

Sunflower Seed Butter is surprisingly good. And I was surprised it needed to be refrigerated after opening. I had two tablespoons of the butter on a whole grain slice of bread for breakfast this morning. Yummy!

I did becoming insanely tired though. I think the 18.5 miles on the bike AND the 6 miles walked at the mall and cleaning the house might have been too much. I am taking it easier today. I have lots of computer work to do. Plus, once again, I need to clean my home office. I have a terrible habit of keeping the rest of the house picked up, but letting my office go. Seems every weekend I have to do a huge cleaning, sorting.

We went to our favorite sushi place last night. Check out my Tiger Roll:

We are ending week 6 of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp. Only two more weeks to go. Check out Tina’s post announcing Best Body Bootcamp Round 3. You can sign up starting Monday September 17th.

My two personal goals this week (same as last week) were:

* Plank / Bridge
* Stretch 10 minutes per day

I am consistently able to do a 60 second plank and the stretching is really helping. I will be changing my two personal goals for the final two weeks. Not sure exactly what I am changing them to, I will be thinking about that today. Probably one of them will be drinking 64 ounces of water since I have fallen on that habit lately.

Once again, my workouts were mainly cardio (walking or spin). Last week I did 9 miles, this week I have done 39 miles. You can read my story here about what they believe is wrong with my calf. I will say that my calf is seriously hurting this morning. Probably due to all of my activities yesterday. I think we are going biking later today, but I will wait and see how I feel. Also, it may rain, so that would decide that.

Do you have your workouts scheduled for the week? Any big Labor Day plans?

Enjoy your holiday!
