iPhone 5-4-3-2-1 Weekend!

TGIF! Welcome to Friday! Guess who preordered an iPhone this morning? ME! I won’t have it on the first day, but I also don’t have to go stand in line anywhere. It will ship directly to me, ready to go.

Last week I had the ultrasound and Tuesday I had an MRI. I saw the doctor yesterday, and yes, it is exertional compartment syndrome. My surgery is scheduled for Friday, November 16th. The good news is that instead of 4 surgical cuts, he is only going to have to do one. WOOHOO!!! I should be back to 100% at 6 weeks. So, my goal will be to walk our New Year’s Day 5K as my first race back. I really get good vibes from this doctor and have only read positive things about the surgery on the web. I am confident this is the right step to take. My other option was just to stop walking the races and that is really not an option for me. I am only 42. I should be MORE active, not LESS active.

It’s been a couple of weeks since I have done a 5-4-3-2-1 post, so here we go!

For the Vols to beat the Gators!!! The UT Volunteers take on the Florida Gators tomorrow and I WON TICKETS!!! Huge thanks to Calhouns Restaurant. I won 2 tickets to the game, a parking pass, 2 VIP tickets to a tailgate, and a gift certificate to their restaurant. Very cool. My friend A and I are going. GO VOLS!!!

If you are ever in Knoxville, I highly recommend Calhoun’s. They have fabulous food and the best ribs!

I’m glad the surgery should be fairly easy. It would be great to see you up and running again!

I’m trying to stay calm about the iphone 5 and not lust for it. I’m not due for another year and I don’t plan to shell out a ton to get it early.

I’m glad you’ve got your diagnosis. Good luck with your surgery and recovery. You’ve got a great positive attitude about it!
