Hello and Happy Monday! Guess what? I PASSED MY FITNESS NUTRITION SPECIALIST EXAM!!!! Proof:
I have been studying for this certification for a few months now and took the exam yesterday. AND PASSED!!! I will do a whole post about this later, but I wanted to share my good news now. There are a few more courses I plan to take, but next I am going to concentrate on getting my Google AdWords certification for work. My plan is to have that certification by mid-October.
Yesterday we went biking for a while. I wound up doing 4 easy miles in 27:30. I concentrated on not locking my arms and keeping the appropriate foot down during curves. Today I plan to concentrate totally on arms/upper body and give my legs some more rest. Tomorrow will be another walking day.

Are you ready to get motivated?
I love this, although I would say maybe not every day. Listen to your body. Hard workouts in a row? You might need a rest day! You might want to do a plank every day or stretch every day or start off with some sun salutations. Just move your body. And to remind you again, if you are NOT currently doing any activity – start small and build up. It would be better to walk 5 to 10 minutes a day for a while and build up your strength and cardio than to start with a 5K and injure yourself or burn out.
This is so true (as I learned in my course). Eat real foods, not processed. If they have taken the fat out of a food, what have they put in? Also the same lines of this, remember if it doesn’t expire, it is usually bad for you.
For the next 7 days (actually 28), I am following Project GET HEALTHY. I am going to concentrate on:
* Getting all of my workouts in and pushing myself harder
* Logging what I eat
* Drinking 64 oz of water a day
* Make the right food choices
I like this idea and you can make it any amount you want. Maybe you put a $1 in for every goal you meet each day. Just make it have meaning to you. Maybe you don’t want a new outfit, maybe you want a massage.
Stop saying I will start later or next week or after a certain event. START NOW!
