My Mid-Year Monday Motivation!

Hello! Welcome to the 1st Monday of the 2nd half of the year! I cannot believe it is July already. Seventeen days until my beach trip. WOOHOO!!! Posts you might have missed over the past few days:

Well, we certainly had a heat wave over the weekend. We hit an all time record of 105. Both Saturday AND Sunday. Saturday I spent most of the day cleaning, doing laundry, etc. In the evening we headed to dinner, I watered a friend’s plants, and then we went for some fro-yo. Yesterday was another at home day. I am just not inclined to leave the house in this heat. I have plenty I can do around here.

My workout yesterday consisted of:

  • 20 minutes on the elliptical
  • 45 second plank on elbow
  • 15 squats

I started Tara Burner’s Planks, Pushups, and Squats Challenge yesterday! I did a plank and some squats yesterday, today is pushups. My least favorite thing of all time. Any advice with the pushups?

On today’s agenda? MAMMOGRAM, work (moving everything back into our office), possible lunch with my mom, watering my friend’s plants, and arms and pushups for a workout! Have you had your mammogram this year? If not, please schedule it today. So important and takes just 15 minutes of your time.

I’m glad you decided to join the challenge. Since I did my push ups yesterday (I always get the hard stuff out of the way first :-)), I’m doing the plank sometime today. Not sure if I’ll include squats. I have a knee “issue,” and the leg work I do normally when I teach (plus running and yoga) already challenges my knees.

Love the graphics. Definitely pin-able.

I love the chalenge you are doing. I really need to work on my push ups. I have no upper body strength. Mybe I can do something like this in August
