TGIF! Kind of feels like the 2nd Friday of the week with the holiday on Wednesday. We had another massive storm last night. The winds were incredible. I wound up bringing some chairs, plants, etc. from outside to inside the house. No point in them blowing away and damaging something. More than 56,000 people in the area lost power during the storm and sadly at least two people died. Reading all the local news this morning is so sad. Very thankful we still have power (it only flickered a few times) and that there was no damage to the house. We did need the rain, just had to put up with the storm that came with it. Hopefully today will be calm.
During the storm last night, I completed my workout. I did 3 planks on elbows (30 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec) and then my awesome arms workout. After each arm exercise, I did 20 squats with inner thigh presses using a Barre3 ball. I intended to use the elliptical, but didn’t really want to be on anything electrical during the storm. Dinner last night was spaghetti. One of our quick go-to meals. Whole wheat pasta and marinara sauce with extra herbs and spices.
Let’s countdown to the weekend!

3 Desserts I Would Like To Try To Make
Look at these fabulous desserts I found on Pinterest. Some of them are healthier than others, but don’t they look yummy? And, they look like something I could actually do. (Don’t forget – non-cook here)
2 Things I am Counting the Day Til
13 days and counting until mother/daughter trip to Folly Beach! I am ready to sit on the beach and RELAX!
27 days and counting to the Thirty-One National Conference in Atlanta! 14,000+ women! I have never been to a conference this size. Any tips and advice for packing, etc.?
1 Cardio Workout for the Gym
Heading to the gym and want to mix it up? Try this workout. 3 machines – 10 minutes each. I would think you could substitute the arc trainer for the stair master if you like. I am certainly going to try this.
What are your plans for the weekend? What’s your favorite dessert? What are you looking forward to this month?
Happy Friday! Make it Awesome!
